About Me

CURRENT MISSION

There is no bar!

ABOUT ME

I'm a real lover of life. When it all boils down, we've got to just love one another.

PHILOSOPHY

The poem "Desiderata" by Max Ehrmann sums it all up for me.

Excerpt: ..."with all it's sham and drudgery, it's still a beautiful world.."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was never able to offer a couch in Madrid, Mexico, or Chicago as I am always bunking with others to save money. Now that I am back in Madison, WI I still don't have space to host, but would love to show people around my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met up with lots of locals in cities I visit, but the most memorable experience happened in Guadalajara. Plagued by two left feet, I put out a call to Guadalajara CSers for help learning to dance salsa. It stirred up a lot of interest, so I invited the entire community to my house for salsa one Sunday afternoon. Fifteen CSers showed up and I instantly made 15 new friends and we all danced and drank into the night- such a great day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Building and working in my family's cafe in Wisconsin for 5 years was one of best experiences of my life. Working with refugees in Chicago was also life-changing. And I had a transformative experience with homemade queso fresco very recently here in Guadalajara.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to impart happiness and a great homemade pie. Come to my house for nourishment! I hope to find inspiration and motivation along the way...
