ABOUT ME

Much of the year I live in Asia (just moved to Beijing), in huge congested cities that continually reinvent themselves: favorites have been Bangkok and Hong Kong, and my current home base of Beijing.

I'm an artist who has worked a lot with books, have illustrated a couple and written one, a travel book coming out later in 2012 called Paper Pilgrimage: Bombs, Bandits, and a Vanishing Art in Southeast Asia (you can see a video about it here: http://PaperPilgrimage.com )

Often I travel for short-term workshops or exhibitions, and always like to meet new people interested in art, and who are linked to the pulse of their creative communities. If you stop by Beijing sometime I hope to return the favor!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted in Bangkok, and would like to do more in Beijing once I've settled and have a studio here!

Been to several couchsurfing events in Penang when I was working there....

I've never surfed before, but am looking to try it in 2012

The first time I left the USA to study in Europe. All alone at the airport, with no idea of what the future might hold.
