About Me

Recently moved back to the USA after living in Holland for the past 3 years where I obtained my graduate degree in sustainable development. Now, I'm moving from Charlottesville, VA, where I've been for just over a year and am preparing to move to Burlington, VT for a new job with the Rainforest Alliance.

I'm a laid back guy, nature boy, music junkie, foodie, I have an eclectic taste and my interests span a broad range!

Looking to use my background and passions to make a difference in this world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really started to use Couchsurfing for the first time (beginning of 2016) while driving from Seattle to Philly for my new job. Looking for low-cost accommodation along the way, I thought I'd give CS a try. Now that I have experienced the CS world, I will never go back!

I really like to meet people and learn different things. As someone who is fairly outspoken and opinionated, I thrive when I meet individuals who I can learn from and challenge me to reflect on my own worldview.

I also like to meet individuals who just like to chill and have a good time. The kindness that I have found from random CS hosts is something that inspires me and gives me faith in humanity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am music junkie, I love going to live shows, I listen to quite a variety: underground hip hop, downtempo, classic rock,

I like books, movies and TV shows! Aldous Huxley is my favorite author. Into all kinds of movies, just saw The Revenant and The Big Short over the past week - great movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I've done is live in Europe for 3 years!

Teach, Learn, Share

I cook! A lot! So, I'm happy to teach anything about cooking.

I can share a phenomenal amount of good music - if you're into that kind of thing.

I can also teach about sustainability and environmental issues on certain subject areas. This was my academic profession, so I know a thing or to.

I like to learn practical skills!
