ABOUT ME

I like shiny things, curry, bananas, books that you can't put down, cafes that let you buy one coffee and sit all day, laughing until you cry, mens shirts, poetry, jeans with rips in the knees, black and white films, new places and new faces, red wine, hot sauce and pho, days when you do nothing and days when you do everything, Trivial Pursuit, painted toenails...

Being happy for as much of the time as I can be. Life is short and hard, you have to make it amazing for yourself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm delighted with couchsurfers... I think this is a great way to see new places and meet new people in a safe and welcoming environment. I've surfed, and now that I'm home, I'm more than thrilled to help out some fellow travelers and I have couches galore!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed up Spain, and then down Italy, and it was wonderful! So many good people and good times in good places that I could have never figured out on my own!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bungee jumped off the second highest jump in the world, from the Nevis in the South Island, New Zealand. It was the most afraid / thrilled I've ever been.

Teach, Learn, Share

For my undergrad. degree I have a minor in English literature and a Genetics / Molecular Biology major, and I'm doing a PhD in medical genetics - I love talking about almost anything in arts and sciences... Also I've traveled all around Canada and America, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece, so I would love to hear your stories and compare them with mine! The world is so big and so small at the same time, I want to hear about the places you've been, and eventually do it all!
