ABOUT ME

I joined Couchsurfing as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine back when Couchsurfing was a volunteer website. I'm back and currently living in Washington DC and have been here for about three yeas now. In addition, I grew up in a small town on the Oregon Coast, so if you have questions about Northwest Oregon, I'll try to help.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We used to live in a small apartment and it was difficult to host. Our new place has more space and we have hosted a few people and would like to get more involved in the CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love to go places and meet people without having to stay in a hotel room.I have no qualms sleeping on floors and in random places. A great memory of mine was sleeping on friends floors through Europe, wooden floors are not comfortable, but it was a great experience and was so much better than doing the typical tourist approach. Since joining CouchSurfing, I have been able to host and be hosted. It is great to meet the varied and interesting people on Couch Surfing!

Interessi

Reading, writing, languages, different cultures, sports, both participatory and watching them. Meeting people in odd places and so many more.

Music: I have graduated to the point where I'm intrested in almost all types of music, there is little that I won't at least try, although I dont' have much of a stomach for pop music anymore

I see amazing things all the time here in Ukraine, many of them I don't always understand, but many classify as amazing.

Take some time to look at profiles. There are lots of incredible people on Couchsurfing, but each person is also unique and brings their own experiences to the project. When looking for new connections, look for people who will be a good match for your own philosophy.
