About Me

Things to be aware of:
1) I am NOT meeting with people who has no references and/or photos. Tips on how to get your first reference are under my profile.
2) I take time and the initiative to make CS safe and report abusive/offensive messages.
3) CS is not a dating app. It is used for connecting travels who has a kind soul for sharing and exchanging cultures. In the line with this approach, i use CS for building respectful and meaningful connections around the world. Be a human before your gender, nationality and religion. Peace ✌🏻
4) If you are a surfer and have hesitations about a host that I have stayed with, you can contact me.

ABOUT ME

Hey everyone!
I am a 24-year-old girl from Turkey. I am a freelance translator and currently studying master's degree in Rome.

I worked in NGOs in project management and took part in active politics. Overall, I am interested in development policies and I want to believe, we can make the world a better place :) I am a local both in Istanbul and Bursa (also lived in Ankara). I recently moved to Rome. If we ever, cross paths in hangouts or events in these cities, I would enjoy showing around to/meeting with fellow travellers and exchanging some nice stories :)

I have travelled to 14 countries and many cities, and have lots of friends around the world. I love observing different cultures and I probably know one or two facts about every country and culture. I lived in Skopje/ Macedonia for a month, studied in Maastricht/The Netherlands for 6 months and interned in Germany for 4 months. I also have hitchhiked and camped across West and North Turkey.

I like talking about politics. It is always nice to learn about other countries' problems and different perceptions. For me, Couchsurfing is a platform that makes it possible to meet with different people from various backgrounds in more of a safer way. Thus the meetings I have had so far provided me with a wider perspective and greater sympathy for humankind.

Sadly, not everyone I met with left a reference, but you can see some of them :)

To get your first reference, you can go to weekly meetings in your town/city and/or meet with some people through hangouts. As a woman (a member of a group killed or harassed by a member of the other group) , I have every right to be cautious.
