About Me
I am horrible at writing up profiles, and apologies if there is too much information in here. I wanted to let people know who I am, just in case they are interested in being a guest or hosting me. I think it's better to be up front and have a nice little introduction.
CURRENT MISSION
I moved to Berlin at the end of 2017 to do the typical Australian dream - escape your far away island with just the bag on your back. Over the year I found a job, a small apartment and now ready to go back and explore more of what is on offer around the world.
ABOUT ME
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, and work as a Web Developer. I studied broad in Berlin in 2013 and loved the idea of living in a new country and being able to easily travel to new places. After a while, I somehow ended back up here.
I should also point out that I am a naturalist, and involved in the nudist life style. However this doesn't mean I'm naked all the time. I do wear clothes to work (thought I was a naked bartender for a while, that was fun!), and in day to day life. I'm also a wear clothes if you are cold instead of putting the heater on kind of person. And when I am a guest, depending on what my hosts are comfortable with, I am also clothed (unless they are also nudist, then yay!)
I used to be a really shy, introverted person. I grew up in a culture that shames the human body, and as part of the gay community, shames anyone who doesn't look a certain body shape / colour etc... so I hated my body growing up. The short version of my story is that after travelling around and pushing my comforts and boundaries, I discovered what German calls Freikörperkultur (FKK) - which "endorses a naturistic approach to sports and community" and "joy of the experience of nature or also of being nude itself, without direct relationship to sexuality"
I have been able to do some pretty amazing things over the years, thanks to the courage the community has given me. Including working as a naked bartender, going on multiple world naked bike rides, kayaking, hiking, camping festivals (Both naked and clothing optional), swim nights, trivia, lasertag, house parties, dance parties, bars, dinner parties, board games nights, bbqs and so on. I've also had the pleasure of being naked on the radio and television before. When I was in Melbourne, I ended up volunteering at a number of events to give back to the community. I hope one day to do the same in Berlin.
I am happy to talk about my experiences and FKK, however there is more to me than my skin. I completed my studies in Comp Science & Multimedia / Photography. I am a big fan of live bands, more than happy to travel around the world to see a ban and be that crazy fan. As a 'student' of photography I also like to visit strange, different unique locations.
I am not a big party person, I enjoy having a big night out now and again. For me, a great night out is seeing a live band, checking out a few good bars, hanging out with close friends and having a random adventure. Doesn't help that I cannot dance. I'm also more a day time person. I love to go camping, swimming at the beach (or a lake) and hiking.
PHILOSOPHY
Just because its different and makes you feel unconformable doesn't mean its bad. Trying to be more relaxed and do stupid and fun stuff because that what life is about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had my first CS experience in 2013. I usually stay in hostels but was traveling to a town in Germany to see a band play, and oddly enough all hotels and hostels were pretty booked out. So I tried CS for the first time, and meet this lovely couple who took me in. When I got my own apartment in Melbourne, I wanted to give back to the community. It's such a great idea to be able to share your home with others and meet people from all over the world
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was lucky enough to host for a few years in Melbourne. My very first guest ended up becoming my house mate, and had such a great experience living together and hosting other people. I've also had the pleasure of making friends through events, getting a coffee and showing them around what ever city I am calling home at the time.
Interests
I am really bad at filling out these things, instead I would rather be sitting on a beach, reading a book, hiking in a forest and chasing waterfalls. Going to see a band play, or to a music festival. Swimming in a pool and doing laps, going for a bike ride around the city, taking photographs, watching some awesome television or exploring black comedy humor show / theater / books.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big fan of Australian Indie Music. And rock bands. If you know what Triple / Double J is, that sums me up. Films I love. Into the Wild and Marry and Max. Television shows I enjoy would include Daria, Strangers with Candy, Venture Brothers, Adult Swim Cartoons, and anything by Joss Wheldom
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back packing by myself around Europe on two big occasions, and was one of the two most amazing thing I have done. I had a euro rail pass and just constantly moving around, meeting new people, going to amazing locations and just having a blast.
I studied in Berlin for a year and was the one of the best experiences. Building a life for myself from scratch and meeting all these amazing people has made the past year something I will never forget. And this is part of the reason I am back
