About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live a life without regrets

ABOUT ME

i live here with my husband, seth and our dog, henry. we moved to Ithaca in July 2012 from Vancouver, BC. before that we were living on the east coast of the US, so in many ways it's great to be back.

i am strongly committed to living an environmentally sustainable life. i like to laugh but sometimes i am too serious at times to remember this. i like to make things more than i like to buy things. i like to see the beauty in little things like a lost glove on the ground.

PHILOSOPHY

i want to live a life without regrets. i'm pursuing things that interest me and i have hope that this will lead to a defined path. i believe that everyone deserves to be happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i feel very fortunate that many things come to mind. seeing tea covered hills as far as the eye can see in darjeeling as my husband and i began a 2 1/2 month tea learning trip through india and bangladesh. getting to meet so many of the workers, especially those very strong and amazing women. i can't look at a cup of tea and not think about the sweat and hard labor of so many women that i'll never meet.

Teach, Learn, Share

i love to make useable beautiful objects. i love to make whole foods from scratch, from crackers to sauerkraut to bagels and beer. and i love to teach this to others and to share the products. i'd like to learn how to play this guitar i've been moving around with me for years. i'd like to practice my spanish that feels like it's wilting and withering.
