Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm humbled and amazed by the kindness of people who share their time and space on CS. I'm keen to meet people when I travel and when they are traveling to make new friends and share experiences, interests and laughs.

Having lived in a few countries, I know that the knowledge of a resident is invaluable for travellers. As a host I like to share this and as a guest I gratefully receive. Any guidance, company or space that can be shared is precious.

As a host, I like to get to know my guests and I really appreciate people who are respectful, open, friendly and considerate. As a guest, I try to give the same back to my hosts when I'm staying with them.

I have met some of the nicest people through CS and made some great friends. I hope to meet and make many more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most types of music...music that makes me want to move, think, smile, laugh, cry, meditate, sing...it's all good!

I've seen many movies and my favourite types are stylish ones with striking, beautiful visuals like Wong Kar Wai, Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Nicholas Winding Refn, many Korean movies, Lost in Translation, Amelie. Also, movies with powerful, interesting dialogue like Woody Allen, Richard Linklater, Closer, Garden State.

Some of my favourite authors are Haruki Murakami, Paulo Coelho, Kurt Vonnegut, Oscar Wilde. I also like to read things that help me to develop and improve myself.
