About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Figure out what it means to be an adult without actually becoming one.
ABOUT ME
I have been called many things: maman, maitre, maitress, Melaine and finally my name Emily. I was once an English assistant in France and am now a reporter in Vermont. Before I began this glamorous life, I received a degree in Journalism and French from the University of Minnesota and worked as a reporter covering breaking news. I love meeting new people and learning new things. I am always up for a great story or interesting fact.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to be flexible, never take things too seriously and if all else fails, have a glass of wine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf a little and host a little. Hopefully when I get settled in my own place I will be able to host more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed a few times and have been able to host as well. I stayed with some wonderful people in Tours and it was such a great experience.
Interests
Quickly: Foreign films, meeting new people, a good story, great friends, live music.
A little bit longer: I love a good joke or something to make me laugh. Ridiculous stories are my favorite. I try not to take things to seriously especially when traveling. I also love learning random facts about the places people live and enjoy sharing my own.
Fun fact: the man who invented Pizza rolls was from Minnesota.
