Overview
About Me
I'm an easy-going guy from the north of England. I'm currently working as a freelance transcriptionist and ESL teacher. I have a good sense of humour and I think I'm easy to get along with - I try to find common ground with people. If you like football and/or beer then it's particularly easy! Most importantly, I'm respectful of you and your property.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm hoping someone can help me with a place to stay for a few days or so - I really want to stay in Prague. And then when I'm more settled, I hope I can pay it forward. And also, making new friends is always good.
Interests
I'm a Leeds United fan (please don't judge me too harshly - it's where I was born so it's who I support!). I love watching movies, especially comedies (I'm a bit of a Monty Python geek). And I've done a few big walks for charity.
And I'm the kind of guy who retains useless information, so if you want to win any pub quizzes, you could a lot worse than having me on your team!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love Douglas Adams' books.
I'm a big Monty Python fan.
Favourite movies... Withnail and I, Casablanca, The Italian Job, The Princess Bride, Anchorman
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done the Coast to Coast Walk - nearly 200 miles across the north of England.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a qualified English teacher, so if you want any practise speaking English, then I'm more than happy to do that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Aside from the English mentioned above, I'm happy to cook a bit. I can knock up some noodles, or fajitas (OK I have a few packets with me to help with that), or if you want something from scratch, I do a pretty good goulash.
