About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the planet and the world around me, experiencing life and letting it mold me into a better person

ABOUT ME

I like to express myself in various mediums, including all forms of art, but also with love and humour. I value making new friends and memories, from those grand adventures to just a conversation on the couch. For as long as I can remember, I've also enjoyed creating pictures on paper, and I've found that it is what I want to do with my life -- to be an artist. For what is the world without art? I find every day I experience and learn new things, however, so my work will always change throughout my life. The world is so big and full of life and character, and this excites me the very most.

PHILOSOPHY

To let the world influence me and in turn influence the world around me for the better. To love people as much as possible. To learn from people as much as possible. To explore the world, to explore other people. And most of all, to hold on to the important things in this world: the interactions and memories we have with each other and ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've done quite a lot of traveling in my own country, slept in many backyards and couches and am no stranger to being a guest in someone's home. I try to respect their space and home rules, and will gladly help with any chores and errands if needed. I expect guests to bring a happy, generous attitude and a warm energy with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I plan to have quite a bit of good experiences by the end of my upcoming trip to Europe!

Interests

I enjoy painting, drawing, photography, music, and viewing, creating and discussing all forms of art. Writing and reading is also an interest of mine. I have many musical instruments which I play with and I hope to have some loud jam sessions with any surfers coming through! I love to cook and try new dishes for other people, and nothing suits an evening better than a fine drink (or several). We also do a bit of gardening on our deck and use our herbs and vegetables in our food as much as possible.

I like being physically active and have been running since I was quite small. Climbing, camping and hiking out in the outdoors as much as I can (and there is no shortage of that here in Bellingham) is how I quiet my mind and listen to my soul. I have also recently got into fishing in the many lakes we have here in the northwest.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies which are visually stimulating and show the oddities and beauty which we normally don't notice. I like music which projects its sound and voice truthfully and passionately and makes you want to move.
I like to read fiction; adventure stories make me excited to see the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed mountains and cliffs miles above. I have swam in the largest ocean on the planet. I have traveled around the my country meeting great people and seeing lovely sights. Now I want to see yours.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how I see the world, and I hope in turn to learn more about how you see yours.
