About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life with good company, make a positive difference in the world.
I'm very easy going, can get on with just about anybody, clean up after myself, and can also amuse myself, so you don't need to take care of me.
In other words, I'm very low maintenance.
ABOUT ME
I'm a long time film fan, short time film maker. I've made several short films, and written a bunch of short scripts, a feature film screenplay, and a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror script. I love this game with a passion.
I'm also a Health and Weight Loss Life Coach, and I love helping people figure out how to improve their health easily, cheaply, and without spending heaps of money. Or having to hit the gym or run if they don't want to. Even exercise is optional!
I've lived all over the world, probably been around it half a dozen times, and find travel a delight. For me, Australia is the best country to live in, so far, although I'm open to being persuaded otherwise.
It's always fun meeting locals, or hosting them whenever I can.
By the way, I don't smoke or do drugs. I don't even drink. I've got nothing against alcohol, I just don't like the taste.
PHILOSOPHY
Loving kindness, be the change I want to see in the world, live and let live, what goes around comes around, life is too short to be taken seriously. There's more, but that's all that comes to mind for now ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to meet interesting people from around the world, either hosting or traveling.
I also love to learn languages, and teach as well. I've got a TEFL certificate: Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Interests
I'm fascinated by life and passionately interested in all sorts of things. Learning is fun when it's something I want to learn, and it's all out there: free on the Internet or in books, courses, etc.
Other interests: cats, juggling, foreign languages and accents, poker, humour, nature, hugs, stilt walking, travel, trading, astronomy, unicycling, wit, Las Vegas, nature, romance, play, the harmonica, etc.
I used to do triathlons and run competitively, but now stick to other ways of keeping fit. e.g. skyscraper racing, 5 Tibetan Rites, skating, Pilates, stilts, rebounding, yoga, etc. Also love table tennis, martial arts and look forward to learning to surf, ski, tumble, do rings, etc.
I've always been a cat worshipper, they're just delightful. I can't handle dogs, because I'm sensitive to sound, and they bark far too much, but I adore nearly all other critters. e.g. horses, birds, snakes, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, capybaras, the list goes one ...

Books: Mainly mind, body and spirit: the Power of Now, Bashar, ACIM, Neale Donald Walsch, Abraham Hicks, Power v Force, health, fitness, tantra, relationships, along with various humour such as Douglas Adams, Dave Barry and others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was lucky enough to be in Germany when the Berlin Wall came down. Incredible times! I went to see Pink Floyd the Wall, at the Berlin Wall. I also walked on the last remaining piece of the Wall, and also through Potsdamer Platz, near Hitler's bunker, where a few months earlier I would have been shot.
I also went to see a football match at the massive stadium in Rio: Maracanã, which once held 200,000+ spectators. However, I missed out on seeing Ronnie Biggs, the Great Train Robber. It would have been interesting to meet him.
Been on an elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower. I was scared big time as the only thing outside the see through lift was a single metal rod/cable on each corner all the way up. Terrifying.
Sleeping in a pyramid in Las Vegas (the Luxor Hotel). Ok, so Vegas is a madhouse, but it's great fun, especially if you don't gamble. There are also great places nearby, such as the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.
