Hello everyone, my name is Eda and I am a 20 years old student of psychology. I was born in Albania but at the age of 5 I moved with my family in Italy where I live right now. I also lived for a year in California, when I was about 16-17 years old, as an exchange student, this experience didn't just teach me how to take care of myself and be more indipendent but it also tought me how amazing is to travel when you are in touch with the locals and you can live their culture.
I am really proud of my albanian roots and so glad I grew up in Italy and had the opportunity to travel so much in my life. I can happly say that I was raised by many cultures which made me a really open mind person, curious about every thing and always ready to try new experience.
Well, about myself I can also say that I am a really talkative, outgoing and sociable person, I love being around people, having adventures and of course travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I love traveling and I think its great the fact that while I visit a new city or country I can also be in touch with the locals and other travellers from who I can learn so much.I think couchsurfing can help me to have a real full immersion in new cultures.

Interests

Let's start saying that I really love eating and sleeping but I can also be the life of the party ;) I love outdoors activity, It doesn't matter if it is in the mountain or in the beach, I'll be down for it. I like exploring new places, spending the day inside art galleries or museums but I don't mind staying the whole day at the beach while swimming and reading a book neither.
I am into psychology, which I am studying at university, but i also like art, letterature and foreing languages. I do ski,snowboard and surf a little bit, but I am still trying to improve, I love paddle bording, snorkeling or just meeting my friends for a coffee or a drink and last but not least I love dancing, I can not listen to music and not start dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I almost like every kind of MUSIC, I can listen to Led Zeppelin and after a minute switch to Rihanna. Some of my favorite artis are Kings of Lion, Eminem, Alt-J, Sum 41, Parov Stelar and many other and how you can see they all make different kind of music.

The same is for MOVIES, I don't have a favorit genera, I just watch everything, I actually don't really like action movie and Disney. I love every movie by Quentin Tarantino and Stanley kubrick, some of my favorit movies are The Black Swan, American History X, Vfor Vendetta, Donnie Darko, Girl Interuppted, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Incption, Memento and so many more I can't remember right now.

I really love reading BOOKS, I only wish I had more time to do it, when I spend my whole day over my textbook studying for exams and I get back home I don't really feel like reading a novel. But since I don't spend every day of my life studying I usually find time to read a good book. I am in love with every book of Isabelle Allende, The House of Spirits is definitely my favorite. I also loved One Hundred Years of Solitude, Animal Farm, 1984, The catcher in the rye, The stranger, Siddharta, Zeno's Conscience,The Great Gatsby and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As an exchange student at 16 I left my parents house in Italy to move by myself in California where I didn't know anybody and my english was really bad. The first month was really hard and cultural shocking but after I got through it, it turned out to be the best year of my life because it made me grow, appreciate where I was from, where I was living and courious about new places.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can teach me about your culture and I can teach you about mine.
Since I am studying Psychology I can teach something about it. I am ready to learn about every thing, I mean i guess that's the best part of travelling.

I can share lots of talk and laugh, I am a really spontaneous person who likes being around people and having fun. I can also share food and drinks ;)
