About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hmmm... Still trying to figure that one out…

ABOUT ME

Yikes! Whaddaya mean "ALL about you"???

Don't exactly know what to say... We're just a couple of chill, easy-going, homo sapiens.

I think we're pretty nice.

PHILOSOPHY

We're pretty big on the ethic of reciprocity. Pretty big on appreciating and being thankful for what we've got. And just enjoying life as fully as possible.
We've lived in various countries and have had to learn various languages. I think it's kind of nice that I've learned how to say "Life is sweet" in various languages because of a genuine wish to express that sentiment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and surfing. By talking it up and spreading the love. ☺

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had over 20 experiences now. All of them very positive.

Interests

In no particular order:
food, literature, art, movies, contemporary dance, big cultural events (like the World Cup in South Africa!), small cultural events (like people watching at People's Square), education (I do actually like my job!), salsa, sheesha, cafe culture, wine, clubbing (less frequently now that we're gettin' on in years), languages, photography, creative writing, creative anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Does having taught kids count??
Travel-wise, hmmm.... You can check out my blog: www.indistantlands.blogspot.com. I haven't added anything to it in a gazillion years but it has highlights of past travels.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're likely to take off our teaching caps when we get home so it might be nice to learn from you about you and your country...
Oh, maybe I could cook Filipino food if you're interested...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendly company. We have varied interests so I'm sure we could find a point of connection. At the very least would be travel and couchsurfing. I've lived in 10 countries and have been enriched by travels to about a hundred different countries.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, China, Colombia, Egypt, France, Japan, Philippines, Russian Federation, South Africa
