I'm from beautiful Richmond, VA, and have lived in various other places all over the US and world. I really like traveling, meeting new people, learning languages, bicycling, ... I'm happiest when in the middle of a city or the middle of the wilderness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've couchsurfed with some friends and know a lot of people who couchsurf and host. It has always been a great experience with great people. I think the idea is awesome, and look forward to offering my couch when I'm settled later this summer.

Music - little bit of everything... I really like bluegrass, old school rap, Latin rap, alternative, rock... anything live
Books - some favorites are Mark Twain (esp Huck Finn), Steinbeck (esp East of Eden), Jack London, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Candide...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode my bicycle about 1600 km / 1000 miles throughout Colombia with my brother (Bogota to Medellin to the Eje Cafetero to Honda to Bucaramanga to Cartagena, with some detours along the way of course)
