About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To seek out strange new life and civilisations.
ABOUT ME
I'm studying Bioinformatics at Birmingham University. I'm currently on a years professional placement in Kent, but that finishes in August and I head back to the West Midlands. I play the tuba - was going at a decent standard but have let it slide a bit in the last few years. I'm a fairly major geek (If you couldn't tell from my degree!), I enjoy messing about on the net (Which I spend far too much time doing), playing Magic: The Gathering (Which I am still schocking at!), administrating hisdarkmaterials.org, and plotting for the inevitable rise of the Zombies. They're coming, make sure you're prepared ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem Quam Minimum Credula Postero - A philosophy I try to live up to :)
If it doesn't harm anyone but yourself, and you wanna do it, do it!
Try anything once. If it didn't kill you, try it again!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As of yet, just dipping my toes :) The concept seems fundamentally awesome, if it proves to be as great as I expect, I may very quickly get hooked! Can't host anyone atm (I'm willing, my house-mates alas not so much! - Might be able to change that when I get new ones in September :))
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No actually couch surfing yet - have stayed on many couches up and down the country, but always with people I'd met before :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Attending the premier of The Golden Compass was pretty awesome. Was such a surreal few days (And not least because I had to lug my desktop on a 200 mile round trip, and do Birmingham to London and back three times in five days!) Got to meet some cool people, (And drunkenly make random members of the cast give me high-fives ). Did tequila shots with Chris Weitz the director as well, which is quite honestly not something I ever thought I'd be doing!
