I am a second year electronics engineering student in Bogazici University.
I describe myself to be a curious and dexterous young lady who loves dance and music. I did ballet for many years and have been playing piano. My latest fun is playing ukulele while singing. I also sing in choirs since I was a kid.
I lived many years in Ankara, capital of Turkey. Now, I live in Istanbul and I am glad of that, because there are millions of places to explore. I love to visit new places and learn interesting stories, especially with my best friends or family.

I feel like I haven’t found what is my big goal in life, I am still looking for it. For now appreciating the earth and doing music works fine. I am a good listener and I fancy what different people do with their own life maybe to catch an inspiring story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling the world is an exciting dream, but it is better to get to know local people and learn the culture from them than just to see beautiful cities as a foreigner. That's why I am on couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music and also find the reimagined versions of classical masterpieces and modern composers quite successful. My all time favourites are Chopin and Liszt. I also love rock bands like Scorpions and Guns 'n Roses and am a little fan of Eric Clapton's music. I recently began to explore jazzy melodies too.

I really like reading fiction and crime novels. My favourites are mostly of novels of Ahmet Ümit, an amazing Turkish author. I also like to read about astonomy and think about the still unknown beginning of everything. Universe in a Nutshell of Stephen Hawking for beginners in the area with a knowledge of theoretical physics.

Favourite movies, well, Harry Potter series since I can remember. I also like to watch science-fictions just to see whether the scenario violates the laws of nature ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 16, with a group of friends from highschool, we came second in Turkey part of an international competition, Destination Imagination, then we flew to America to attent global finals. That trip was the best time of my life for now.

Inter-railing Europe. A month full of adventure. Visited Athens, Milan, Bergamo, Zurich, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest. We had so much fun on the road especially when we were couchsurfing.
