Hi I am Eddie. I grew up in Guilin, China, and then went to study and work in Beijing/New York/Shanghai/Singapore. Now I am based in Guilin to run my companies - I am creating and growing galobal consumer brands and using eCommerce marketplaces to distribute the products.

I have travelled to a few places in the world and stayed with many CS hosts. I would like to show my hometown Guilin and also give back to this community. Travelling around and engaging with the CS community made me a more inclusive person.

My personal mission and belief is "Connecting the East and the West", and I believe that people from different parts of the world shall communicate and know each other better. I am happy to be a bridge and that's why I am here.

Outside of my work, I have a lot of interests: Guitar, Sports (Swimming, Tennis, Biking), and Ourdoors Activities (Rock Climbing, Hiking). Feel free to say hi and cannot wait to see you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am running my startup projects/companies, and, given my time constrains I am not able to travel as much as I did in the past. I am seeing that CS is still a way for me to see the world and connect with people.
