One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Salisbury Cathedral had a profound effect on me. Something about the ornate architecture in the half-hearted English light did a lot to lift my spirits when I was in a very bleak state of mind. Perhaps it wasn't what they had in mind, but I came away with renewed confidence in the power of ordinary people to make something beautiful and lasting.
