About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Really, to just live life, take each day as it come, experience all I can, see as much of this amazing world as possible, helping people and making new friends along the way.

ABOUT ME

Hey, so I'm a guy from a small country town a bit over 200 k west of Melbourne in rural Victoria. At the moment just living life, with the goal to experience as much as possible and meet as many amazing people as I can. Been living in South America on and off again for the past 2 and a half years now and so I've become this weird mix of cultures, kind of like if a kangaroo had a baby with a llama.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about so much more than just going through the motions. A life that challenges ideas and convention is a life worth living. Life is about the people in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've had amazing experiences through couchsurfing. I've met great people that I got along with really well with whom I still keep in touch and also people who I know longer hear from, but one thing that is consistent across the board is that each person I stayed with gave me a unique perspective of their city/country/place and that to me is priceless.
Up to now I have yet to have the opportunity to host anybody as through travelling and not having a permanent home it makes it difficult. However I hope to change this in the near future so as I can have been on both sides of the proverbial couchsurfing coin.

Interests

Travel, music, culture, sport, meeting other people, really just a whole lot of anything that captures my attention. If someone can make something seem appealing or interesting, I'm usually up to hear about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Definitely have favourites of all three categories (alternative rock, indie rock, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings) but am open to anything new, and I'll try to listen to, watch, read anything someone recommends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This section is definitely the worst section to fill out. So many things come to mind when I start to write here, but then I think, 'What makes something amazing? Maybe all these things that I'm thinking of aren't even amazing.' But anyway I'll put down some of the ideas I've had and you can judge for yourself if you class it as amazing or not.
I remember when I was travelling with a friend through Patagonia, we decided we wanted to go to the Perito Moreno Glacier. We ended up hitch hiking out of El Calafate for 40 kms until our ride was going to go a different way. He dropped us off in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by snowcapped mountains, with no sound of traffic or people, just us alone, and we continued walking on foot. It was so incredibly peaceful and raw and it just filled us with this crazy energy. Finally we got picked by a taxi who took us for free to the glacier. Coming around the bend and finally seeing (and hearing) the glacier was the cherry on top of the cake.

Teach, Learn, Share

After having worked for quite a while I would obviously be willing to teach English to anyone that would like, and I could also attempt to teach Spanish as well.
As for learning, I'm am open to what ever anyone has to offer. Knowledge is an incredibly valuable asset and so I'm not going to turn anything down.
For me the best thing to share would be a conversation over a nice cold beer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

After writing, and you reading, all of this I'm not sure what else is left for this section. So here I would say refer to the above information.
