About Me

ABOUT ME

My name is Eddie, I'm a friendly and open-minded guy who likes to meet new people, and this is my main goal here. I'm originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but I currently live, study and work in Curitiba, south of Brazil. I moved here in August 2017 and I live alone. I have also lived in New York and Boston for a couple of years.

I'm simple, humble and happy; I love life and I have learned to appreciate and love every moment and person I have around me,; I love my family and my close friends; I have a lot of dreams and I've been trying my best to make them come true; I really love to read. The best gift one could ever give me is a book, the books are the theoretical part of my life, whereas the practical part is up to me.

I love biology, medicine, anthropology, microbiology, philosophy, history, religions and archeology; I'm fascinated about studying new languages and learning about different cultures (especially the ancient ones!); I love animals, I hate it when people mistreat them; I love mashed potatoes; I love classical music; I don't like labels and stereotypes; I don't follow any pattern, I live my life the way I feel; I love documentaries, although I don't watch TV very often; I have a kind heart and I admire the ones who also have it.

So that's a little bit about me. Well, I'm so much more than that, but simple lines can't express a soul.

PHILOSOPHY

I am completely satisfied with my spiritual life and my life philosophy, although I am always open to changes; I love deep conversations, specially when we're having some wine lol; I am an eternal learner, I am willing to keep learning and changing for the better until the day I die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am willing to host, help and guide potential visitors. Curitiba is a very nice spot to explore.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some people while I was living in NYC, but when I was in Rio I met four people from CouchSurfing, a guy from France, two girls from Italy and another guy from Argentina, we went out for a beer and we visited some interesting places there, so I think I can be a good tour guide! Now I am willing to host in my new city.
