ABOUT ME

**** So couchsurfing has decided that I'm logging in from Westtown NY, Staten Island, and somewhere in New Jersey, among other places. I'm pretty much always either in Brooklyn or Manhattan, just wanted to clear that up ****

Hey! I'm working as an engineer in NY (construction industry). I love to bike all around NY and regularly run races as a challenge to myself anywhere from the 5k to half marathon range. (Tough Mudder and Spartan Race are awesome)

Though I'm not a musician, a few of my best friends are and I love being around them and having the music always nearby. Another great love is alcohol in most all of its forms... beer? great. wine? awesome. liquours? fantastic.

I'm not very into politics (read: at all) however I love hearing different people's viewpoints on ideas new and old, life, and religion.

PHILOSOPHY

Do anything that makes you happy as long as it doesn't have a negative effect on others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I head to the Brooklyn meetups to meet travelers and share stories, information, opinions, and knowledge every month.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The few times I've had the opportunity to host and surf I've always been met with an amazing community experience that left me wanting more. Unfortunately traveling and hosting aren't in the cards so instead I try to spread and take in as much knowledge as possible with people around the world that are passing through Brooklyn, and with those that are here for the long term.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In Philadelphia I was with a group of 30 individual strangers that became a single, cohesive, unbreakable unit over 13 hours and 20 miles. The individual disappeared, in a beautiful way. Individuals started, a team finished.

I've recently taken up baking, and can make a mean loaf of home made bread - seriously, there is nothing better than fresh bread out of the oven, I'm also pretty awesome at making girl scout cookies from scratch. Did someone say samoas year round? Oh yeah, I did =)
