À propos de moi

I'm Eddie, I'm 20 years old, bilingual French/English and grew up in Toulouse, France.

I'm currently studying Sociology and have just finished my 1st year at the University of Amsterdam. After my finishing high school I decided to go on a gap volunteering in projects that are close to my heart from participating in an Ocean Cleanup Operation in Norway, supporting afghan refugees in Greece and Teaching english to kids in Nepal. After the gap year, I started studying Sociology in Amsterdam and going to enter my second year.

I'd say as person I'm quite easy to get along with. I'm very energetic and enthusiatic in trying out new things. After going through what was quite intense experiences during the gap I'd say I'm quite mature for my age.

As of now, I've just finished my 1 month stay with the same beach cleaning organisation as on my gap year in Finnmark and I'm travelling down the Norwegian coast to get back in Amsterdam by the beginning of September.

I know my 'countries visited' reads a bit like a map of Europe and that's coz my mum and dad have a VW van and every summer we drove around Europe, staying in campsites. I think that what's given the travel bug!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

It takes a unique kind of person to offer up their couch to random travellers passing by, a unique kind of person that are open minded and want to meet people from all over the world and the kind of people I would like to meet and share stories with. Also accommodation is super expensive in Norway :).

Centres d'intérêt

  • travel
  • social justice
  • meeting new people
  • humanitarian work
  • environmental issues

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I generally listen to all type of music, but my favourite as of now is Sami music, I had the chance to listen to a live performance at the Traena Festival and maybe it's because I'm in Northern Norway but I really enjoy it. Favourite movie, same as music, I don't have a certain favourite but if I had to say something I'd probably How to train your dragon.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Travelled to Norway, Greece and Nepal by myself, got mugged en route, lost my phone, missed my flight and at no point considered running back home! I made it to Nepal where I slept through an earthquake. I'm looking to do one better.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach French ... English too obviously but there's probably not much call for that! I've tried to learn Norwegian, but I didn't get very far. I'd love to pick it up again though.
I'm unbeatable at 'Noughts and Crosses' ... just ask my class in Nepal. I can share my secret.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Mad stories about my travel adventures and the people I've met along the way. Also, my sense of humour. ;)
My video gaming prowess as well as a helping hand.
