About Me
Hello, world! 21-year-old Burmese guy here! I love to travel, like everyone on this site I suppose. I wanna go on trips around the world as much as I can. Found out when I was 5 that meeting and talking to new people are actually pretty awesome. My mom said I’m generally a nice person, so that must be true, yeah? I promise I won’t make a mess and be a good guest. And if you’re ever in my city, you’re more than welcome on my sofa.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The idea of sleeping in a stranger’s place terrifies me. BUT the idea of meeting new people, getting to know them (and not having to pay for my night’s rest) fascinate me more.
Also, I just really love meeting new people and listening to their stories, their ambitions, their experiences, their inspirations and those things in turn inspire me to be a better version of myself that I could be.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite films change all the time but #1 currently is this film called Frances Ha and I’m not exaggerating when I say no one on this planet has seen it more times than I have. Other favorites include Lost In Translation, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, The Apartment and Moonrise Kingdom.
I reaaaaaaaally love Lorde. Her albums got me through tough high school and university days. I also love Panic! At The Disco (their 2016 show in Singapore was my first ever concert, I went alone, best night of my life). Florence and The Machine is pretty cool.
I read a condensed version of Jane Eyre when I was 13, and my life has never been the same. It was the first book I read in English and got me into reading. My favorite book is Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick. I also love this book called A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara which is realllly long but worth every page. I threw the book across the room and gave it to my friend as soon as I finished it because it broke me but asked for the book back two months later to reread it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ziplining! Pretty basic but it was incredible.
Broke my nose at a theme park during a ride. (Not really amazing but I like telling it to people.)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you everything I know about the Karl Popper Debate format if that interests you(Nominated for the SHORT LIST of Best Speaker during the 2016 Debate Tournament, peak achievement, haha.)
Oh, I could also teach you how to make the perfect green tea salad (aka my favorite food in the entire universe) but only if there’s the fermented green tea leaves.
I play No Surprises by Radiohead on the guitar very horribly. I could at least tell you what the chords are even though you can just google them.
I’m willing to learn everything about the local culture everywhere I travel because that is the best part of traveling. I wanna take home at least one recipe that I can impress my boring friends with.

Burmese culture, movies, embarrassing moments growing up like how I burned my eyebrow and my knowledge on memoirs written by comedians.
