About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Save the world!" No, seriously, I don't have a "mission"...trying to be "a good person" is enough for me :) On a more prosaic note, I love to travel and discover, so a mission could be that one: to travel as much as I can! :)
ABOUT ME
I am an open-minded person, grown in Sicily-Italy but soon abroad for studying and working: I graduated in Middle Eastern Studies at the SOAS University in London and then I’ve worked and lived in different places between the Middle East and Europe. I now live between Vienna and Brussels doing a job that allows me to travel a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the spirit of CS...Meeting people who are really interested in discovering new place with locals. Since when I came back to Italy in 2016, CS helped me in keeping the contacts with the "outside world" and indeed I have hosted travelers from all over the world...I love to speak foreign languages and knowing travelers who are willing to share some of their trip experience.
Interests
Well...I have many interests, some "deeper" than others....I am very much into History...Middle Aged history and History of the Middle East in Particular....Than History of Arts as well...I don't dislike to speak about politics, international and domestic one (I graduated in Political Science after all!) On a lighter tone, I love cinema, theatre and books...I like enjoy a glass of wine (beer is ok, too!), nice conversations and nice people. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
As for music I am very much into the '80s...(Psychedelic Furs; the Cure; Police...)
My favorite Movie...Gosh, too many! (I love Alfred Hitchcock for sure)
Books: Roman Gary; all the French Classical (Rouge et Noir; Madame Bovary; etc etc); Vanity Fairs...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I get very excited about all my travels so, each one seems amazing to me...Anyhow: the Baobab hallway in Madagascar was pretty amazing, as well as my last trip to Samarkand...The carnival in Rio de Janeiro and the Red Sea seabed....
Teach, Learn, Share
I feel pretty much like learning...learning from the others, from the place I visit and from life in general...I don't know what I could teach...maybe cooking some Italian dish? (For sure I like to cook...) I could share my trip experience with other travelers and for sure my time and the place I live in!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my place: In Palermo I can't always host people as I share the flat with my mother. But when she is not there (often she moves in another city for the week ends) it's ok. Also, sometimes I go to Caltanissetta, in the center of Sicily (I have a place there, but I very rarely go there) In that case I can host people there too.
I can share the beauty of my city, Palermo, that is very reach in terms of culture and arts...I can bring you to some nice restaurants, coffee places and bars...some local parties and share my free time together with my local friends...
