About Me

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music (more recently songs I play on my Uke, but anything really...Techno, Drum n Bass, eDM, Pop, Hip Hop, Reggae, cultural, Classical, Jazz.
TV series and Anime fan (GoT & Walking Dead) and any classic 90s and 2000s movies. Not a big reader to be honest but I hope to change that. Currently reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working as an Outdoor Instructor, I spent some time living and working in Hong Kong's beautiful region of Sai Kung where I had the opportunity to explore, travel and guide groups across the beautiful national parks and beaches.
Last year I quit my job in August to travel the world but to spend some quality time with relatives back in Korea.
Also Earlier in 2017, I volunteered at a local elementary school in Tanzania, Africa where I helped repair their playground and also develop a sports programme for the teachers to use in the future.
Since 2016 I've been on the road through Asia, Africa, Middle east and now Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play the Ukelele 🎸 so if I play, we sing! Okay? Would also love to guide/instruct again or teach English at some point during my travels as an overseas teacher. Being ethnically from Korean descent I can speak the language.
I'm interested in meaningful work even if its volunteering
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help converse with you in English (NZ Kiwi of course) if you're wanting to improve your English. I can also share my local knowledge of New Zealand if you're looking to visit there too! I've traveled across many countries and can share stories and tips.
Also I love to cook so learning how to make local foods and sharing meals. So I'm super keen for that! Food is tastes better when shared :)
Happy to accompany you (+1 ofc)to parties, movies, socials, gatherings, hangouts if you want. Also up for any meaningful work :) Help you with charity or volunteer events too.
When I'm back home in the future, hopefully I can return the favor and you can stay at mine too.
