ABOUT ME

UPDATE: Have not been surfing since the summer of 2011! Looking to get back into this crazy awesome world of entertaining and interesting world travelers.!!

I would have to say the following describes me:

-Crazy wilderness guy with a beard(most of the time i have a beard but you might catch me without one if you're lucky). If you ask me anything about my job I might not stop talking for a good 10 minutes
-I love my kayaking and canoeing whether it be on a lake, river or the ocean
-I love to laugh
-Since I began traveling I have found a passion for meeting new people and having some seriously random conversations
-Sometimes I can be ridiculously sarcastic.
-I really do like the wilderness
-I can't read a city map for the life of me and I swear I will get lost in our transit systems sooner or later
-I drink a lot of coffee - lots
-I like learning about people from all walks of life and I enjoy listening the stories of peoples lives
-I love where I live and love sharing where I live with people

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participated by surfing throughout Europe and also by hosting people back in Victoria.

Just moved to the Gordon Head area of Victoria. Right next to Mt Douglas Park where marvelous views of Victoria and the islands can be found.

TOTALLY UP FOR COFFEE OR HIKING OR EXPLORING OR BEERS WHILE YOU ARE STAYING IN VIC. NO COUCH AT THE MOMENT!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed:

Marseille, France with Loic! * Heavy metal rock concert, motorcycle riding in France

Paris, France with Lina! *I was sick and felt bad!

Paris, France with Anthony! *Random meeting of folks underneath the Eiffel Tower at 3AM - helped them open their wine and received some for my hard work!

Glasgow, Scotland with Lewis! *Awesome independent film night. Lots of banter about music and what not

Glasgow, Scotland with Jenny *Party!! It was Jenny's birthday when I was there!

Belfast, Ireland with Tim - * Authentic beer with an authentic Irish fellow.

Interests

Beer is an interest of mine too, but only good beer.
Wine is becoming a friend of mine too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My job title this summer is Grizzly Bear Interpretive Guide. The job is pretty much that.

I have spent over 50 days kayaking and guiding international tourists with KILLER WHALES in Johnstone Strait

Pursued my dream of showing people my back yard and being paid for it.

Got side-tracked from my dream momentarily, but I am headed in the right direction again!

My home, Vancouver Island, is a majestic place and I have been exploring it since I was a teenager. I am willing to show my fellow couchsurfer everything I can about this beautiful place during our time together. Its intense.
