About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finsh writing and record an album with my band.

ABOUT ME

I love music

PHILOSOPHY

It was not until that one Winter that the hallowed arc took shape and echoed a new melody to for the ones who were to come. My eyes opened I realised I could no longer sit on my cloud and hails darts of lightning upon the innocents while they engaged in acts of living and dying that were no less natural than the various ages of forgotten children that combed the Earth for years before. It was then that I conjured myself a chariot of flames and rode on the heavenly song of my minstrels to the land where my mortal nature would soon become apparent. And there did begin the chorus of the living song and my lungs once again tasted life. And I walked among the innocent aware that though I was but a child, I was still both infinitely more stupid and intelligent than they would ever know, and in my knowing of this I became ever stupider and greater than before. And so I find myself here, steeped in utmost self-loathing and self respect unable to escape the misery that I will never know what I know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to host interesting young people who I can show around the great city of Melbourne and give them a taste of what it's like to live here. And in turn when I travel I can see what its like living in another part of the world and meet great people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet except a friend who is currently hosting a guy from Italy. I thought the idea of couch surfing was great so I signed up.

Interests

I'm very excited by music. I play in a band and will soon be starting with another band as well. I love guitars and synths. I'm excited by indie and electro bands, new wave and alt rock, atmospheric and psychadelic music and most of the other subgenres of music like this.

I love philosophy and though I am an amateur, I really enjoy reading the postmodernists and they have opened my mind up to a completely new way of thinking. Down with "reason" and up with "seduction", arbitrary decision-making and anarchy!

I'm also into film by nature of my university course of Media. I am, however, a sound recordist and have worked on a number of short film and television projects as sound recordist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a few experiences in my life that I call amazing. One was Nevereverland in Melbourne 2008 where I saw, Klaxons, The Presets, Cut Copy and Hercules & Love Affair. Golden Plains music festival in 2009 was also amazing and I saw probably the best gig of my life so far, of Montreal. Some bands that have blown my mind are Wolf and Cub, Muse, Neon Love, City Calm Down and Paperhouse.
