About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Couchsurfing profile! Life is heading in a new direction for me and I'm looking to follow it with the upmost enthusiasm. I live near Chicago, Illinois and I'm a tell fellow at the young age of 23 years old. Turning 24 in January! Left college about a year ago and been finding myself ever since. Staying with my parents for one more month and pushing myself to get back out there and chase my dreams. I'm an aspiring designer with amazing taste, a sharp eye for photography and film, and a slight addiction to League of Legends and fashion. I love listening to music and dancing every now and then. I am a little chubby but I find that when I'm motivated to do things differently like I am right now I'm motivated to be out every night to be active and have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because like I said in my about page I'm looking at life in a new direction and while I know living with my parents until I'm fully independent is a great idea I have been exhuasting the fact in my mind that I need to get back out there and live life to the fullest and take chances to make my dreams come true. About almost two years ago I had moved back in with my parents because one of the four roommates we had while living in Chicago stole a whole bunch of stuff from people and crashed my expensive car and ran away to Kentucky. I had taken a huge risk that night by investing all my money into an event/concert (used to be part of the concert industry). Leaving me without any money for rent anymore or to fix my car I had to sleep in it for awhile until I went back to college and lived with my parents. Fast forward to this year I'm out of college but all the warehouse jobs I did weren't working for me. I had to give up design too while working at warehouses so I don't see it as that bad because I love art. Recently been working for Instacart and Door Dash and just popped into my head that now that I got some money to make it work with I can get back out there and stop making excuses. I wanna move to California and eventually another country after there to chase my dreams. I can work on both delivery apps while I find another job other there and focus on starting my solo career and entrepreneurial endeavors. This app will help me achieve all that by finding the right people to stay with while out there and when I decide to leave the states. I can use this as a stepping stone to finding a good deal on a place wherever I move to next at the same time as creating some amazing experiences with different people than from this area.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music is probably at the moment Afrostep (Nigerian music) or French Hip Hop/Rap. I am huge into the dance industry but fell off and now feel like I listen to hip-hop and throwbacks more often. Movies I can't really say which is the best or favorites but I suppose Into The Wild was nice, The Man Who Created Infinity, you know how it is I'm blanking out so much. Book hands down; The Journalist and The Murderer, Just Kids, Looking For Alaska, Gary Vee's Motivational Book, Humans of New York Collections, I'm gonna have to say for reading its mostly on The Verge, Vox, and Hypebeast or websites like that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The coolest thing I have ever done in my opinion is losing 135 pounds in four months. Not entirely sure how I did it but I do know I was younger than I am now haha. I did run a nice blog that went on for about five years.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what to put here....

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share food of course, I am 420 friendly, I have furniture I was thinking of bringing. Can cover simple house supplies if needed or water. I have a lot of experiences and personal stories to share that I know anyone will be like no way all that has happened to you. I can offer rides in my car when I'm not busting my butt working. Can offer photoshoots, can vlog about our adventures. Can give advice in designing stuff. Have an amazing taste of music if I do say so myself.
