ABOUT ME

My name is Blake. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I'm from here but I have also lived in Pensacola Florida for a few years. Last year I made a trip to Northern India where I stayed for 4 months volunteer teaching English to Tibetan refugees. It was a life changing experience. I met many amazing people and witnessed so much beauty.

I'm really into music and art and though I'm not fluent in any others besides English, I'm fascinated with other languages. I love meeting new people and exchanging travelling stories.

I'm a lover of the outdoors. I love to hike, camp, kayak, and swim.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I work mostly during the week but with enough notice my schedule is sort of flexible. I'm open to hosting couch surfers any time I have the time to entertain.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couchsurfed once and greatly enjoyed the experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been in audience with the Dalai Lama at his home temple in Dharamsala, India. I spent a lot of times trekking in Northern India through the foothills of the Himalayan mountains.

One time I hiked up to about 12,000 feet. It was with a friend and former volunteer. It was on a full moon night.
