About Me

I was born and raised in the United States and I am currently studying computer science in a small town north of San Francisco. I was raised a relatively sheltered life so the only traveling I did was as far as my mother was willing to drive. Although I love the town I live in I feel that it is time for something bigger. I'm finally embarking on a journey through Europe with my friend Kevin. This will be my first time there and I am extremely eager to get started. The idea of living out of a backpack has always made me giddy and I cannot wait for the experiences that will come. I really enjoy talking politics and definitely would love to get some opinions from people outside the United States. I have a goal in life to travel to every country on this planet and this is a perfect start. Currently I work for a start up where I program websites.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to experience culture is with someone who lives it. So I know that being with a local will give me the truest, most raw experience possible.

Interests

  • rock climbing
  • exploring

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Michael Bay films. My favorite movie of all time is definitely the Dark Knight, followed by Inceptiion. As far as music goes I am fond of things from all genres, my favorite being country music. I didn't truly appreciate what can be gained from reading till a few years ago and recently it was inspired me. My favorite book is "The Killing of the Rising sun" which is a very detailed World War 2 book that describes the approach the United States military took.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My greatest accomplishment is completing a 12 hour hike in Yosemite and conquering the legendary half dome. It was quite the test.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share anything and everything from my adventures in life. I can also teach any sort of fitness, which is a passion of mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a great sense of humor and political insight. I love helping out as well so I can definitely lend a hand with anything and everything.
