About Me
Hello! I'm a grad student who enjoys cultural exchanges, language learning, discussing music and engaging in deep conversations about literature and history. Based in Berkeley, California, but born and raised in Cali, Colombia. I value mutual respect and meaningful connections. Let's share memorable experiences and connect with like-minded travelers.
PS: I used to have an old CS account but ended up losing it! For verification purposes you can check my profile in UC Berkeley's website (https://haas.berkeley.edu/phd/community/student-profiles/).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the true essence of travel lies in connecting with people and creating unforgettable memories. For me, there is no better way to truly experience a city than by immersing myself in its local culture and interacting with the locals. I hope to cultivate lasting friendships and create great memories that will stay with me long after my travels come to an end.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a diverse taste in music, enjoying genres like Blues, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Reggae, and even Salsa. However, what truly captures my attention is a strong and captivating bassline. I'm a sucker for the a well crafted bassline: e.g., "Off the Wall" by MJ, "Another one bites the dust" by Queen, "Orion" by Metallica, etc.
Moreover, I enjoy a wide range of literature, including historical novels by Orhan Pamuk, Milan Kundera, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, as well as classic universal literature from authors like Goethe, Dostoyevsky, or Camus. Lately, I've been drawn to dystopian fiction by writers such as Zamyatin, Orwell, Huxley, and Phillip K. Dick.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking for 4 days from Xela to Lake Atitlán and Climbing Acatenango Volcano in Guatemala.
I've also had the honor of being featured in two chapters of Pa Luch's Roadsideletters Travel Log. You can find my stories at the following links: [http://www.roadsideletters.com/2017/03/mad-dogs-at-equator.html] and [http://www.roadsideletters.com/2015/01/im-back.html].
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to offer language practice sessions in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. Whether you want to improve your conversational skills or simply have a language exchange, I'm here to help. Additionally, if you're interested, I can even teach you some Salsa moves!
What I Can Share with Hosts
