ABOUT ME
Hi everyone, this is taking me longer than I expected, I’ll try to portrait myself as good and as brief as possible, feel free to contact me on my social media that I will provide later on.
My name is Ediel but sometimes I go by Eddie too. I’m Mexican, I was born in Sonora, the hottest state there is in Mexico. I’m currently 28 years old, I work at a French insurance company as a risk management engineer. When young I spent three years and a half living in San Diego California, and I came back when I turned 19 to study college here in Mexico.
I’m pretty outgoing, I can easily talk to people and I love to share my experiences with others. I have always believed that you can learn something new from every person you meet. I’m very open minded and I love to meet people from different cultures with different ideas and different perspectives.
I love trying new stuff and learning new things, I always go for the local stuff.

PHILOSOPHY

The places we visit, the people we meet and the experiences that we live are the things that we take with us once we pass away, and by that I don’t mean that you should give up on material things, is just that people should take the time to know the world and themselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved to my own apartment and I’m looking forward hosting people traveling by. Hermosillo, Sonora is a very fun city to live in, there are plenty of vintage bars that I can take you to, and museums and places full of history. I can always take you to San Carlos, a beautiful beach town 150 km from here, there you can see how the desert meets the ocean. There are also a lot of outdoor activities to do, like hiking the ‘’Tetakawi’’ mountain, which literary means Goat titties.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couchsurfed before but it is an experience I surely want to live. I loved the idea ever since I heard about it. On march 21st me and a friend are traveling to Europe for the first time and I’m looking forward meeting new people and living this experience. We are super cool. I mentioned earlier that I would provide my social media information, well you can easily find me on facebook as Ediel Almada and my snapchat user name is ealmada06, I don’t really use Instagram but I think you can find me as Ediel Almada as well.

Centres d'intérêt

I know that it might sound cliché but I really enjoy trying new things. Let me see if can explain myself with examples. The other day I realized I own a bowling ball, a mountain bike, a route bike, a pair of tennis racquets, a pool stick, a paintball gun, a fishing rod, and a badminton net and racquets. I’ll be lying if I tell you that I’m good at any of these sports but I have tried them all.

One of my closest friends got really into energy readings and shakras. When she told me about it, I was a little skeptic but I kept an open mind and after a few aura readings and meditation I have notice the impact that these can have on someone's wellbeing. I Highly recommend it

When it comes to music my taste is very vary too. One year, in a period of six months I went to a Metallica concert, then to a Electronic dance music festival, then to a Imagine dragons concert and then I came back home to go to a music festival full of people with cowboy hats and boots (Including me). I enjoyed every single one of them.

Last but not least, the food. I’m not a picky person, some of my friends say that I would literary eat anything, but every time I travel somewhere I like to try the local dish, I believe it takes a big part in fully experiencing the place you are visiting.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like almost all types of music, I guess I’m not that fond of some kinds of metal music but I’d listen to them. I think there’s a specific kind of music for every situation. If I had to mention a few bands so you could get an idea of what I normally listen to I would say: Cold play, Muse, Willhelm tell me, The kooks, Orson and Phoenix.

My favorite book is the giver by Lois Lowry, I also liked Dan Brown's books. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies and something I that like to talk about. I try to read as much as I can.

I really enjoy horror movies.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I have swam 5 km in the open sea from shore to a little island in Guaymas Sonora. Last year I did a Fenix Man, which is kind of like an Iron Man but easier hahaha. It was 2 km swimming, 60 km cycling and 10 km running.
