About Me
A quote I really like is this one:
"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always."
Current mission: Trying my best to live by this.
Some things I like, in random order: Waffles, writing, photography, being nerdy about random things, hiking, hearing people talk about their passion, cooking, being an optimist, dreaming of utopias.
Some useful information about me: I like going out for a drink but I'm not a big drinker. I don't smoke but usually don't mind people smoking. My pronouns are she/her. I consider myself part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I'm on CS to meet new people and make connection, not for dating. I'm vaccinated against Covid19.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it always makes me confident in the believe that humans seek for connection, help each other out, are kind without being asked something in return. Because it made me discover places that I wouldn't have seen without them. Because I love getting inspired by other people's homes, interests, ideas and lifestyles. So Couchsurfing to me is more than a platform for cheap travelling (which is also a great thing; I don't wanna lie!). It's a way to connect with people I wouldn't have met otherwise, to get inspired by their culture and philosophy and to learn from each other. It would be a pleasure to meet you! :)
I just moved away from Passau, where I was a student for four years and am unfortunately not able to host anyone atm. But I can't wait to have my own place (hopefully next year) to be able to host other surfers and give something back to this lovely community! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
A book that really impressed me was David Mitchell's "Cloud Atlas". I read it after seeing the movie, which is also a masterpiece, and since then there's no day without me thinking about it. I love the idea of everything and everyone being connected. My favourite childhood book is "Momo" by Michael Ende, an allegory to our capitalist society and an ode to the beauty of time. I love sociological books, such as "The Art of Loving" by Erich Fromm, but I'm slow at reading them.
I often obsess over a show for a few months, rewatching it again and again. Currently I'm in my "Stranger Things" period, although I feel like it is coming to an end. My all-time-favorite show comes from Norway and is called" SKAM".
I'm the kind of person who will discover a great song and listen to it on repeat till I hate it. My taste in music is quite random and mostly consists of Pop, Folk, Indie and 80s-synth-pop. One of my favourite musicians is Stromae, a certified genius. I'm always looking for new music, so please feel free to share your favourites with me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going on a motorcycle tour. At night-time. In Paris. It felt like the final scene in "Amélie" but better. Thank you to my CS-host Eric for making this trip one of my favourite memories ever!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an enthusiast and I love learning something new: Tell me about the things that you are passionate about, the book you're currently reading, the place you always wanted to visit but never took the time for. It will be my pleasure to join you in your favourite activities, but I don't expect it. Just let me know your routines and I will adapt to it.
I'm studying art history and could talk about it for hours - if you can recommend good museums please let me know! In case you want to improve your French or German we can also have a discussion in those languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Flexibility: I adapt easily to host's plans and needs. I can be calm and independant but I'm also curious for your ideas and advice. I'm always in for a good conversation or a long walk, but I also enjoy a calm afternoon spent reading and writing. I'm really tidy and will always clean up after myself. My friends say that I'm a fairly decent cook, my speciality is creating a meal out of left-overs.
