About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see, to learn, to share, to experience
ABOUT ME
I am guided by strong beliefs and determined to go my own way and to force my ideas, but not at the expence of other people. I am social, but independent. Keen to help others, but do not believe everybody. People see me as cheerful, reasonably self confident and consistent. I allways like to learn something new and to improve myself and the world around me.
And⦠I studied law at the university, and you see⦠I like the word "â¦but". It's allways about "â¦but" in various circumstances.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn to enjoy simple things. Like sunrise or sunset, drop of water, green tree, fog in the mountains, sunshine after winter period.
Always improve and never give up. Even after you have failed 57 times, you need to understand that you have learned a lot and gained new experience. And if you will give up - that experience will be thrown to the garbage can.
Money is only a tool. The rich is not the one who has more, but the one who needs less. When you minimize your "wants" you get plenty of space for freedom of choice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can host from time to time. And would like to try surfing as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I host, surf and meet other couchsurfers from time to time. Had various experiences with CS, but most are wonderful. I like more to build long lasting relationships than to use CS only for a couch.
Interests
I dance salsa and help to organize yearly Vilnius Salsa Festival. I like to sing: mostly such big things with orchestra like Mozart or Verdi "Requiem". But I have learned to play a bit guitar as well. Hey ! I even have piano at home, but do not play anymore :) It's very nice peace of furniture at the moment. I like walking and tracking a lot, and a bit of cycling, hiking, skiing, swimming, camping. The more I travel the more I understand that I like nature, waves and mountains. One of the most beautiful countries for me is Norway and it's a pity that the weather is good for such a short time in this country. Beeing a heavy meat eater I started expressing interest in vegan and raw food cooking recently. I can even show you two raw food restaurants in Vilnius. I tried joga, tennis, basketball, judo, chess, painting, photographing, filming, and many other activities. Not everything successfully, but I have learned a lot. I even was a computer geek (the theme of my thesis was "The use of computers as method of committing criminal activity") and I was one of the first pioneers of Internet in Lithuania.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's complicated :) The Doors is probably the longest on my playlists. Once had all the Nick Cave albums, but do not listen it often. I was a fan of The Beatles as well. When started dancing - only salsa, bachata, kizomba, cabo verde, tango was on the playlist. Now I listen a lot of different music :) Books: have hundreds of them on my Kindle. All time favorite will be Jules Verne's "The Mysterious Island" (but only the first part of the book, until the pirates came :) ). Have read it hundreds and hundreds of times in my childhood. Need to reread it someday :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I had broken all the rules I could in 20 minutes and have learned one important lesson: just because I CAN, does not mean I SHOULD. And that was some kind of breakthrough in my thinking: when you know that you CAN, it is not necessary to prove anybody anything.
Teach, Learn, Share
On my job I teach people the hard stuff: how to innovate in business or public administration, how to cooperate, create clusters, lobby the government, pitch to investors, etc. If only you are interested - I can share :) I do some mentoring and life coaching as well and learn a lot from the ones I coach. I am keen on technologies and "need an app for everything", but on the travel regime I can live on minimum. I have some stories to tell and to share from very different kinds of fields.
