ABOUT ME
I am finally coming to the end of my tertiary studies and am currently on my biggest adventure yet. I've just moved to the US for the next year or two to see what all the fuss is about. Once I graduate at the end of 2016, my intention is to hit the road in search of adventure and experience.
I am the kind of person that loves to have a project on the go. In the last year that's involved starting a debating club at uni where we debate urban issues (and make friends, drink & hang out), throwing parties and researching and testing some ideas for a potential startup in public health.
I am open-minded (just like every other person on this website), honest, friendly and independent. I can also cook, clean and pretend to do an Australian accent!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is an experiment - try and make of it what you can (whilst also accepting a huge degree of error and uncertainty).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I´m new to this! So if there´s anything you want to know, just ask!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I´ve never couch-surfed before! But I am an experienced couch-lender, though not yet to CS folk. My couch-related experience has found that if you want people to help you clean, you give them an apron and put on 80s pop.
Interests
In my spare time I am always listening to music, whilst also cooking, gardening, drawing, reading, watching a film or tv show on my computer. The rest of my time outside of uni and work is spent with friends, which involves a lot of talking about big issues and complete nonsense, bushwalking and hanging out.

All of my friends back home are musos, so I'm always listening to music. I fucking love dance music, and for bands I´m into, uhh...
Simon & Garfunkel, The Velvet Underground, Marc Bolan, Death From Above 1979, Madvillain, Death Grips, The Flaming Lips, Nine Inch Nails, Grimes, My Bloody Valentine, Salem, Joy Division, New Order, Built to Spill, Crystal Castles, Soulwax, Grizzly Bear, Teebs, Mogwai, Pink Floyd, Röyksopp, Bonobo, Philip Glass, Yppah, Why?, Quasimoto, Cannibal Ox, Neutral Milk Hotel, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Knife, The Horrors, Slowdive, Björk, David Bowie, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Aphex Twin, Animal Collective, Black Moth Super Rainbow and so on and so on :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last weekend I saw Slowdive (a band I´ve wanted to see for years now) at their first show in 20+ years, and during their final song their female singer and I stared at one another and sung/smiled the whole last two verses. Good thing it was raining a little at the time too, because IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL I CRIED A LITTLE.
What else...
Hmm, I´ve met a lot of homeless people lately too as they are often the most talkative and they all have wonderful stories. I think everyone I have met on my travels has been incredibly interesting in their own way though.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm just about to finish my Masters of Urban Planning, specializing in emerging transport systems, so that is one area that I am always interested in talking about.
I'm also a pretty good cook and love to share recipes.
I have many stories to share and I'm sure you do too!
