Hi!
I am Edoardo Mariotti, London-based Italian drummer.
I love music, playing drums and bass, listening to records, driving, socialising, going to gigs, headbanging. Love drinking and cooking in company.

I live with my girlfriend Gessica, whom I know since high school so it's like..10 years?! We've been together only for 2 years so far and we are planning a trip/road trip across USA between September and October 2018.
She's been in the US before, both highlights of west and east coasts and studied in Wisconsin. I've never been instead so I'm massively looking forward to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here on CouchSurfing because I'm planning to travel the USA later this year with Gessica.
However, we have been hosting many people among friends, relatives and friends' friends over these 4 years in London so we thought of giving it a try anyway.

We both really believe in sharing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything rock and metal but...not only.
However, If there's a good thing is that I can enjoy all sort of music, I love listening to jazz concerts as well as bang my head when a Pantera songs kicks in. I listen to gypsy rock stuff, ska, old school hip hop and rap, modern funk..pretty much anything I can grab some inspiration from.
I'm not a huge fan of tv series, though I love watching Gotham with Gessica.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Earlier this year for my birthday Gessica organised a special trip to Frankfurt where the Musikmesse (huge music exhibition & fair) was happening over the weekend.
So she managed to maintain the surprise and the secret destination from our flat up until we got to the gate in Stansted and I had no clue we were actually going abroad, especially because I was going to work the day after.
So we took an early flight to Frankfurt at 8AM, got to the exhibition at about 1PM, visited until 6PM, then we hanged out in the city with some friends, had a delicious German-style dinner and...we took the bus back to the airport at 11PM. We took over at 6:30AM, landed in Stansted, came back to London at 9:30AM and I finally got to work at 10AM.

It was insane but totally worth.
