About Me

Hi, my name is Edoardo and I'm an italian 26 years old guy from Lombardy! I have a degree in Biotechnology of medicine obtained at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan, where I lived for almost 2 years. I'm ironic, easy-going, and I like a lot to chat. Especially with a beer to sip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined the community because I've planned to travel the world for an undefined period, and I thought this community can definitely enrich this experience. I also want to "live" places, not simply like a tourist, and know people on the way, share expierences and opinions with them. I think this let me grow up and see the world with different eyes. I think also it's one the most important part of a trip, because it leaves something for both the traveler and the local, wherever they are.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to many types of music indeed: indie, blues, electronica, d'n'b, dubstep, classic, rock, pop, chill music in general... Paradoxically I don't like italian music at all, except for few artists. Definitely I can't say to have a favourite type of music, rather favourite artists.
About books and films instead I have two favourite genres, that are science fiction and horror. Nevertheless I don't exclude anything, in fact my readings range from scientific essays to thriller or classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, likely no one will believe me in the next lines... The most incredible thing that I've ever done until now: I switched off a street lamp by snapping my fingers after a count down, and the light completely vanished immediately after the snap. The incredible thing is that the lamp was above the bench where I was sitting with some friends of mine, and we were surrounded by a long sequence of street lamps since we were at the lakeside. Anyway, no one of them was turned off along with the one above our heads... Honestly, at present I don't know why I decided to start the count down neither why I snapped my fingers at the end, but after that event we started laughing and laughing! An additional cheerful detail is that at the time I used to wear long hair and beard like a viking (or Jesus Christ, in this case it's more suitable!). My friends remember that incredible event nowadays too. Unfortunately no one else could assist to the "miracle" because it was about 5 a.m., on Sunday.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If interested in learning some italian (travelers usually tell me is very difficult to learn for strangers) or more knowledge about Italy and italian people, obviously. Hopefully good chats and nice times together! I would be happy to make you taste some italian cousine too. Last but not least, definitely my support if you should decide to visit Italy, especially the beautiful area around Lake Maggiore. I know also many people that basically have lived almost in every region, so don't hesitate to contact me in time of need.
