About Me

ABOUT ME

Hola folks

Always down to spend time exploring. I like partying and geeky things like Reddit politics, science, psychedelics, scifi, and health. Like a lot of people I really love mini adventures and good food/drinks. I'll try almost anything once. Also I had a great dog but he got old and went wherever old dogs go.

I like to host guys who are chill and who like to have good conversations and random adventures. Activist, averagist, adventurer, gay, straight, atheist, hippy, all of you are welcome! Just be fun and kind, decent, and true to your word!

Got a blow up full sized bed for guests.

PHILOSOPHY

To live and let live while treating others as I would have them treat me.

"The greatest thing that we can do is to help somebody know that they're loved and capable of loving." Mr. Rogers

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Its my own tradition to try to cook a meal for guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

June 17th 2015
Went to the Couchsurfing HQ for the annual Couchsurfing Day party event! Much fun. Got my face painted and did some face painting for the first time ever. Lots of fun and lively people. Very grateful to the CSing crew for hosting that event.

I'm supposed to be doing my EOM report but am instead reading through all the great comments people have left and taking a trip down memory lane. We've had quite a few guests stay at our home over the last 6 months and I miss each one of them as I read through the comments. Couchsurfing.org is really a beautiful platform for introducing people at their finest. Travel has the 'magical' propensity for exposing people to each other in the best light as well as exposing them to challenges and opportunities that would never have happened otherwise. I'm grateful for all the experiences and people I've had with CS and will continue to aspire to being truly humbly hospitable.

Just went to a Couchsurfing Party and met John one of of the SF ambassadors. He was a friendly guy who really does a great job at getting these things together and I appreciate all the work he did! Also took a CA home with us and he turned out to be a very decent and fun guy!

Just hosted two good guys from Montreal! Learned that 19 year olds can be just as polite as 'more mature' people and very cool. I now must visit that city as it seems like the SF of Canada.
Sept 10th
Now my girlfriend wants her own CS site so she made one and we had a great couple from Israel visit us. We took them to a winery in Sonoma and showed them around the city. We learned a little about Israel and also how to play Yanev!

So I've now had 2 couchsurfers! It was fun and I got the chance to return some of the great times I had. That was really cool. San Francisco is about to go through some of the best months of the year, I'm so excited!

So we've been traveling all across the U.S. for the last 5 months and are really looking forward to getting back home to our dogs and a regular routine for a little while. We've stayed at some wonderful homes. We've met the most awesome people. We've encountered nothing but positivity and have had a rare chance to see some back country and citywide living from the local perspective. Most importantly we've met people that are unbelievably wonderful, fun, generous, and easygoing.

Interests

Dogs! Cooking! Meeting new people. Politics. Adventures. Reading, usually current event non fiction and history/biographies, but also the occasional sci fi.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Sci-Fi short stories, the Omnivore's Dilemma, cook books, entrepreneurial info, the latest news and politics and science, www.sciencedaily.com, and on and on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

More recently Burning Man! It was the most fun amazing thing of my adult life!
India, back country Florida, The NAVY, and my migration through the beautiful state of California (moving ever north it seems thus far).

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my experience with life, cooking, girls, boys, and dogs. I've noticed that being a perfectionist is not possible because life makes that a ridiculous concept.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Love to cook and will clean up my mess along with light chores!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Colombia, England, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mexico, North Korea, Peru, Singapore, United Arab Emirates
