ABOUT ME

I need to learn, and I love to experience new perspectives. I get bored easily, so I've done a wide range of things, from bike racing to studying Ancient Greek to knitting to teaching kindergarten in Iraq. I love being scared. I need to get my hands dirty and learn for myself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch is open to any and all travellers passing through. I love hosting, and I live in a great little paradise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great! Nearly all of the couchsurfers I've met (hosts, guests, etc) are kind and enthusiastic about travel.

Interests

Learning (languages, recipes, party tricks, whatever).

Playing sports, moving, sweating, being outside.

Reading fantasy and sci-fi and Agatha Christie novels and magical realism and authors in their original languages.

Travelling (obviously) and living out of a backpack.

Writing. Nothing fancy, just writing.

Dressing up. Like, Carnival-style.

Watched the sunrise light up Mosul from the steps of St. Matthew's Monastery.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk your ear off about Ancient Greece, especially the language and mythology.

I can teach you to knit.

I'll also give you good book suggestions, and you can probably have any book after I've finished it.

I also collect international recipes, so we can exchange meal ideas!

Spanish and French speakers are especially welcome, since I'd like to practice both languages.
