About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Independent always, impartial never

ABOUT ME

I come from rich and prosperous Spain, catalan born from non-catalan parents, lived in Barcelona, Belgium and Germany. Not many nationalisms survive to that. I consider myself a very active person, easy-going and talkative, with a natural tendency to do lots of things and activities - and to arrive late to half of them. I enjoy meeting new people, talking and learning about history and traditions. I love the taste of beer and the social habit of going out seems to me very healthy. Sometimes a bit temperamental, although my friends say that I have a kind heart.

PHILOSOPHY

I have two aphorisms that are some kind of guides of my life:

"Fight the tyranny of the predictable" Grant Morrison

Because monotony can become really a destructive circle.

"El andar en tierras y comunicar con diversas gentes, hace a los hombres discretos." Miguel de Cervantes
(To walk in lands and to communicate with different people, make the man wise.)

Because every time I meet a person from another culture or with different opinions, I'm glad that I keep with me a part of him/her and it broadens my mind; and hopefully he/she would do the same, which is actually beautiful.

Interests

I am a musician (bass player and piano player), and traditional fencing instructor back in Barcelona. I also love reading -all kind of books, from bestsellers to literature classics-, watching movies, partying. Can not live without music: jazz, blues, rock, fussion, everything if it is a good composition.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, amazing things depend a lot on perception and taste... I would say I've done amazing things in every trip of my life: to lay in a sofa while enjoying some beer with views to La Alhambra in Granada, to sleep in a beach of white dunes, to enjoy the sound of the Danube at night, to feel the cruel brutality of humankind at the doors of Auschwitz... and many more which can be actually boring to hear/explain... they have just sense when you feel them or just when the memory comes to your mind...

On to another matters, I am also quite proud that I could finish one crazy project that started as a small seed in my brain: To write and publish a book!
