I'm an English teacher at a secondary school here in Amsterdam. I'm import; grew up in Haarlem and Zaandam (just outside of Amsterdam) and moved here when I was 18. I've lived all over the city, moving about 7 times in as many years. "Basically we just wanted to save money going to Tokyo, but it soon became clear that this is offers so much more then money saving options. Interests

If I'm not teaching that must mean it's either Thursday (and I'm at uni getting my MA) or the weekend. If it's the weekend you can find me on the couch watching Netflix, browsing Spotify looking for new music or having a drink with friends somewhere. If it's a bit later at the weekend you'll find me doing the same thing, but perhaps more inebriated. From time to time I also enjoy going to a good party, techno or deep house preferably.

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on my mood I love everything from Country to Techno. Always happy to find out about new artists or songs, so if you have something I need to hear, please share!

As far as movies and series go I'm an omnivore, as long it's not some horror gore-fest or a really sloppy romantic comedy, I'm down. I also have a special sort of love for movies and series which are kinda crap. Favourite series are, in no particular order: The Wire, Breaking Bad and Twin Peaks. Favourite movies I can never decide, but I'm more than willing to have an hours-long discussion about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can survive in a room surrounded by smelly, loud-mouthed, hormone-ridden teenagers, so there's that. Otherwise I don't know, I broke my neck when I was 11 which always makes for a good story but it's not really something I'm proud of. So yeah.
