About Me

I'm new here, so don't really know how it works.
Well, introducing myself: My name is Eduarda, I just turned 18 y.o (pretty young, I know), but I LOVE traveling, meeting new places, cultures and people.
I already did 2 exchange programs (since I was 14 y.o, when I went to San Diego - CA). The second one was to Australia, I was 16. Can't wait to organize myself and go to the next one!
It's my first year on college, in Porto Alegre, where I live. I love what I study/do.
I'm really tolerant, would love to have people from everywhere coming to Porto Alegre, letting me know and being in touch, maybe staying here (=

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said, I'm new here. I want it to be a great experience, I'm pretty sure that using Couchsurfing I can meet nice people with the same love as mine... being wanderlust. As long as I'll be using it, I can really understand how it works. But for now, I loved it and can't wait to travel around the world using it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience I've ever had was, for sure, living during all the last year of my life. In the beginning, I went to Australia and loved that place, then I broke my chin and had to do a surgery, alone, far from my family and friends, on the OTHER side of the world. I got depressed, living there got tough, I was sick. But I tried to resist.
When I came back to Brazil, I decided to live alone, with 16 years old (and depressed, always taking medicines). I can tell you, it was the hardest year for me, at all. Consequently, it was the year I really understood lots of things about life, the one I turned more maturated and learned a lot.
Resilience is the perfect word to describe it, and it's amazing!
