About Me

A very quiet guy who enjoys simple things. The morning, a cup of coffee, the beauty of sound, the magic of words and the eclectic diversity of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For a very long time I was in charge of an old apartment in Puebla city. A nice place where everybody were welcome. You know, a sort of happy utopian community like Fela Kuti's Kalakuta Republic. So one day one of my roommates showed me Couchsurfing and he said: "Hey! Why don't we open this place for more visitors?" I instantly loved the idea and travelers started to drop in. Lovely people from France, USA, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Argelia, and of course from México. Those were beautiful encounters and golden moments.

I've never used Couch as a guest, but I hope that the universal harmony of nature, that enormous music we all are, will sound in good vibes for me, just as happens in the call and response used in Cuban rumba.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music that emerges from the very deep of the soul, you know, heart music that tells the story of people and their circumstances (I am especially a jazz lover and also a Latin American music lover).

As for the books, I like poets and novelists. Not a hobby. To me, life and literature are involved very close to each other. The more you read, the more you find your self (or get lost).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well seen, everything you do is amazing. That's why it is called "life".

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn almost about everything. I like people with passions, no matter what it is as long as it is passionate. Above all, I think I can share knowledge and ideas, cool music, and cook some mexican food. I'm the kind of boy who can make your dinner more enjoyable :)
