About Me

Born and raised in the southernmost state of Brazil, lived in the state of São Paulo for 4 years (for work), exchange student (High School Senior Year) to Texas (1999-2000), living in Canada for around 4 years total now (Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan) as an immigrant (PR card holder) - a choice I made, was not "forced" (life wasn't bad in Brazil).
I visit family in Brazil every year. My dad's dad was Russian-Ukrainian, my mom's grandpa was Italian. Grew up with the Italian roots as my Russian grandpa died the year before I was born.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I live alone and have the space to host (one of my rooms is used as an office), plus the couch, and plenty floor space, so thought I could try this couchsurfing thing (never done before). I'm skeptical, but who knows...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like oldies, and anything that brings back good memories, and cheers me up (upbeat) - not what makes me uneasy/nervous/whatever.
I like movies with good score on IMDB, but usually Science Fiction, war, adventure, comedy.
Haven't read any books lately, and the last ones I can't remember the title (in Portuguese).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was an exchange student for a whole school year in Texas when I turned 18!

Teach, Learn, Share

I was on boy scouts for many years in Brazil, and it is quite different from what I saw in the US. It was one of the most fun times of my life (in its own area), camping with great friends in various adverse conditions, close to the wild, making our own wood stoves, night games, etc.
I'm taking paid salsa lessons at a local school, and try to participate on social dancing events (bachata, kizomba, and salsa).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, whatever you can imagine from reading the other info on my profile? :)
Can certainly help with computer issues when I'm around.
