About Me

I'm an easy-going, optimistic, and super sociable young guy. I love life, and as we are all here temporarily, I always try to get the most out of it, learning, teaching, and loving.

I'm open-minded, honest, and quite respectful. I always do whatever I can to help people. I have my own online business.

I'm interested in reading, bookclubs, writing, and poetry. I've written some poems in my native language. I'd love to share some of them with you if you like.

Currently, I go to the gym three times a week, and I run twice a week. I love outdoor activities such as hiking, going to the mountains, camping, going to the beach, and having a picnic at parks.

Gladly, I DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF DRUGS.
I don't smoke, neither cigarettes nor Marijuana. I don't drink alcohol either.

Sadly, I have seen friends and acquaintances dying due to alcoholism and drugs. That's why I've decided to live a wise and healthy life away from it all.

I'm really into food and learning new recipes. As I am vegetarian, I had to learn how to make a couple of things. :)

I've been a vegetarian for 5 years now, and I love my lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I work with languages, I'm couchsurfing in order to master them.
I am looking forward to spending time with locals so that I can make new friends, get to know a little about the city, and most importantly, improve my speaking skills.

It's gonna be my first time ever couchsurfing. So I'm very excited and can hardly wait to see what the world holds for me.

I am starting in the USA for two months and three weeks. I'll be in Florida for 8 weeks. Then I am going to New York for 3 weeks. In the USA, my focus is my English. After NY, I am heading to Montrel for 10 weeks to improve my French. Then, I am heading to Italy for 8 weeks to improve my Italian. After that, I'll spend two weeks in France just to practice a little bit more my French. And finally, I'm heading to Argentina. I love the Argentinian accent, so I'll spend 6 weeks there. Two weeks in Buenos Aires, two weeks in Patagonia, two weeks in Cordoba, and then I'll go back to Brazil for the next three months of the year.

I'm leaving Brazil in three weeks, on December 2. Basically, these are my traveling plans for 2024.

Ohhh, these are my social media contacts if you want to add me there. Please, before adding me, just introduce yourself here and let me know that you are from couchsurfing. So that I can accept your friend / follow request.

My accounts are private only for my family, friends, and people I know. I'd rather have a few people I know than thousands of followers whom I have no interests and connection with.

Interests

Currently, I speak five languages, which are Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian. I have also started learning Esperanto, but as I haven't met many people to speak it, I decided to put it aside for now.

Another thing that I love to do, which has changed my life forever, is yoga and meditation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fantasy. Omg, x-men, Harry Potter, and pirates of the Caribbean are movies that I never get sick of watching.

I also like comedy, romance, and thriller.

Music wise, I really like everything. Pop, electronic music, dancing music, reggae, rock, Brazilian music, French and Italian music etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Omg, I've done quite a few. Well, one amazing thing that I've done was to go skydiving.

Another one was to start a project online to teach languages to people from " favelas " in Brazil. I don't know if you are aware of what " favela " is. So, I'm going to explain it to you briefly. Basically, it is a word that we use to describe a very poor place where the people don't have much.

So, I created this project one year and a half ago, and we're still going on. I teach English and Spanish to these young people.

I've learned so much from them. especially that it is important to dream. And we all, at some point, stop dreaming.

They've opened my eyes to see that we don't need much to be happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a language specialist, and actually, I make a living out of it. In other words, I work remotely teaching languages online and also doing simultaneous translation in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Basically, if you are into learning languages, I can help you out with that.

I am also a great friend and a good listener. So feel free to talk to me about anything. I'd love to hear about your story and tell you about mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd gladly help you with your house chores. Also, if you need to move any furniture, paint your house, or remodel it, I'd love to use these strong arms of mine to help you out with that.

Well, assuming you're my host, I'll try to speak your native language with you as much as I can. After all, that's the reason why I'm traveling to your country. However, if you also study any of the languages that I teach or speak. I'd gladly separate an hour a day to formally give you a language class for free. That's what I do, and people ( my students ) say that I do it really well.

Well, in the USA. I have some really good friends that I've made throughout my life. And I'm going to stay with them during these 11 weeks. Right after that, I am going to Montreal for 10 weeks. And I do know it is such a long time to stay in somebody's house. So, I'd appreciate it if you shared or rented a room in your house or if you knew someone to rent it to me for a reasonable and fair price. It would help me a lot.

Honestly, I could do Airbnb, but what's the point of going to another country to learn the language and spend most of the time alone?

Every time I go to another country, I try to share an apartment with a native speaker. So that I am always in contact with the local language.

Also, I work online. I'll be working about 4 or 5 hours every day. After that, I'd love to hang out with locals, get to know the country, cook with somebody, learn how to make the local food, go to the movies, go out for dinner etc.

To sum it up, I'd be really happy to hear, grab a bite, or even drink some coffee, juice, or tea with you. I have a lot to offer, and I'm sure you do too.
