Overview
About Me
I'm a regular laid back guy, who likes to travel and get to know new people..
Except after midnight.
When the moon rises I put on a cape and fight crime in Gotham using only my bare hands and utility belt.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
See a new place can be a great thing, but get to know the day to day life and culture of the people living there is even more interesting. Monuments and museums can only tell you so much.
Also, I don't feel that travelling should be an expensive activity, that only some can enjoy. It's better to be limited by your will, not by your wallet.
Interests
Writing, reading, hiking, animal hugging, competitive debating, movie watching, music listening, food tasting and beer drinking are activities I highly appreciate!
I'm also always interested in learning more about modern history, cultural diversity, technology and science, psychology and human behaviour, cooking and nutrition, self-improvement and basically culture in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am constantly trying to listen to more brazilian music, since it's full of great artists, and I especially enjoy Lenine, Tom Zé, Novos Baianos, Jorge Ben Jor, O Rappa. But I also like international music in various genres, bands such as Radiohead, Jamiroquai, Arctic Monkeys, Jethro Tull, Daft Punk, Modest Mouse, Glass Animals, etc.
Movies: Miyazaki, Wes Anderson, Monty Python. Westerns by Clint Eastwood or most of the things directed by the Coen brothers. I also enjoy violent south korean films by Park Chan-wook, interesting documentaries, sci-fi and absurd american comedies. So I guess it's safe to say I'm pretty open when it comes to movies.
In books I like imaginative settings, such as the ones written by Terry Pratchett, Stephen King or George R. R. Martin. I also generally really like books with a great antihero or a shocking story, such as In Cold Blood, Lolita, Lord of the Flies, Clockwork Orange, 1984 or The Picture of Dorian Gray.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Besides daily fighting criminal masterminds?
I guess it was realising how luck I am in many aspects of my life and how I should enjoy it to the fullest. The awesome experiences I had were less things I did, but more things that happened to me as a consequence of that perception.
Teach, Learn, Share
Once I read a quote saying that "every man I meet is my master in some point, and in that I learn of him". To me it seems like a good way to see life: every single person can teach you something if you are open to it.
