About Me

I'm 27-year-old Brazilian guy who loves music and science. I'm a fourth-year medical student, born an raised in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. I lived in Carbondale, IL in 2014 as an exchange student for one year and in San Francisco, CA for 3 months.
I like to meet new people and talk to them, share experiences, improve my language skills and learn more about different languages and cultures.
I'm easygoing, helpful, funny, calm and I do as much as I can to stay out of troubles.
I want to graduate and possibly be at a residency program here in the US. My dream is to be a neurosurgeon and get my master's and PhD degrees in different countries.
My favorite hobby is music. I play the guitar, the acoustic guitar, the bass, a little bit of the piano and the drums. I like to compose my own songs and I've been playing in some bands since I was 15. I'm a music producer, and one of my recent works is an album from an instrumental post-rock band called Kalouv from Recife (feel free to check out and download the album). I also work in some famous music festivals in Recife as an assistant producer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I realized that traveling is one of the best things in life. Couchsurfing seems to be an incredible way to get in touch with new people. I've never had any experience with couchsurfing or hosted anyone in my house. But based on my experiences with staying in hostels during my last trip to California, I find that couchsurfing could be the best way to reach my goals.
