ABOUT ME
I'm weird, but polite and well-mannered, shower and brush my teeth regularly.
I like to have bar talks about anything, hear stories and share some useless knowledge. I'm very curious about languages (mostly cursing, but that's the best way to learn a language). My family is very open towards a guest, and will go great lengths to try to communicate.
I like to read, and I read a lot of weird-nerd things.
My idea of fun is very open, I had the most amazing afternoon the other day with a guest drinking mate and eating peanuts at a park.
Lately I'm learning a lot about beers, and I sure will not say no to a pint.
PHILOSOPHY
Time passes whether you enjoy it or not. Enjoy as much as you can. The little things are what make true happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like traveling a lot, but as I have to work hard 11 months a year to enjoy just 1 for vacations, I can't always go wherever I want.
But for now (while my global domination plans are on pause), I'll host as many people as I can. If I can't, I'll be more than happy to give pointers of each touristic attraction or places to go.
This year, I'll make the extra effort to participate on the weekly meetings in Curitiba. I'll be the tall guy speaking loud English. Hard to miss.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed couches in Argentina, Germany, Austria, Sweden and Belgium. All those that hosted me taught me so much and I'm really happy that Couchsurfing exists.
My hosts also left a mark on my life, the exchange of cultures, languages and knowledge makes this site the best idea since the invention of air conditioning.
I also met several couchsurfers from the Curitiba group, and surfers from abroad at the weekly meetings.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have several distinct periods. I listened to Pink Floyd since I was in my mothers belly. I had my thing with pop from the 80's and early 90's, now I'm really into German and Swedish indie. Occasionally a flashback to the 70's and Gyllene Tider happens though.
I like movies with explosions, action, zombies and pirates. B-movies are always fun as well. Entertainment is just that. I really don't like war movies or dramas. Too sad.
I love reading, mainly fiction, especially medieval stories, Sci-fi and British comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok, let's start with a big one: I ate Surströmming. Yeah, the fermented fish. IT STINKS. Figuratively and literally.
I listened to Pink Floyd's The Wall while walking along the place where /the wall/ was in Berlin. (it's quite cool if you're into Rock and History)
Drank quite a good amount of beer in Belgium. This is quite cool if you're into different beers.
I traveled (twice) alone to Europe for a month (first time abroad, spoke little English and had a backpack about my size).
I had moments of "Ah, let's swim to that island" with equally weird friends and ended up getting very tired (and almost drowning).
I've seen the sunrise in central Paraguay.
I enjoyed a 4Km wide beach only to myself.
I listened to Bach while walking along the Guartelá Canyon by myself.
Been on a boat under the Iguaçu Waterfalls.
I got trains to the wrong direction.
I got mugged once.
I got a ticket for Schwarzfahren in Germany (unknowingly, seriously!).
I learned the hard way how to walk on a sidewalk in Europe (Brazil is /so/ different)
I did several scuba diving trips in southern Brazil.
I got high several times on General Anesthetic (prior to surgeries!).
I'm the youngest person you'll know who had back hernia surgery.
Not all in the same day, though.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I might teach you some photography concepts, languages fun facts, computer terminology, Linux, binary numbers, and some random facts about life, the universe and everything.
You'll be surprise about the amount of junk-knowledge I possess. I don't really know how I know so many useless things. But I like to share and fill your head with them.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay
